Great opportunity to join our team as an Apparel Product Developer. You will manage the assigned styles within the seasonal product development process of our world class apparel collection. Working closely with the Senior Product Developer, Design Team & suppliers you will develop the products from initial design sketch through prototype phases to final SMS sign-off.

Key responsibilities of Apparel Product Developer (including but not limited to):

• Review design sketches, undertake cost feasibility, making relevant technical comments and recommendations to ensure production efficiency
• Build the initial garment specification and communicate the fit, construction & aesthetic to the overseas vendors to develop patterns and prototype samples
• Tech Pack creation & maintenance throughout the development phase
• Set-up and continual maintenance of seasonal development tracker
• Work together with Senior Product Developer to analyse and challenge the supplier garment cost breakdown and consumptions; update cost tracker in advance of key seasonal meetings to allow predication of margin. Provide alternative methods/options/constructions to hit target cost where needed
• Follow samples through from initial request ensuring all timelines are met and samples are received and reviewed in-line with the CP
• Arrange fit sessions with designers and relevant stakeholders to review fit & construction of prototypes, making any adjustments/alterations as necessary and communicating this through to vendor

To join us as Apparel Product Developer you must have:

Essential:

• Degree or equivalent in fashion, garment technical or textiles
• Previous product development experience within outdoor apparel/soft goods
• Previous experience working with overseas factories
• Full understanding of garment specification (building specs, adjusting, grading)
• Strong knowledge of the fitting process
• In-depth knowledge of all aspects of product construction
• Understanding of the pattern making process
• Good understanding of QC process & procedures
• Hands-on factory experience and knowledge of manufacturing
• Excellent planning and organisational skills to manage the product development process, liaising with suppliers in line with the critical path
• High level of competency in Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Excel
