Position

In this role, you will provide user advice and guidance on ENSEK’s product range, in relation to their software architecture. You’ll be the conduit between the Principal Architects and the Software Engineering Team and also an available resource to our product and delivery functions. This is a hands on, pivotal role in the company, and you’ll need to instil best practice, consistency and standardisation amongst our Software Engineers and be their first port of call in offering architectural leadership. You will review existing architecture and technologies and leading on the implementation of proposed improvements & migrations.

Responsibilities

  1. Working closely with Principal Architects to convey the 12 – 18-month architectural plan to the Software Engineering and Product Management Teams, ensuring iterative code delivery aligns to long-term strategy and product roadmaps
  2. Build proof of concepts, devise strategy, and evaluate new technology and features that would be beneficial to the business.
  3. Build architectural frameworks that can be consistently demonstrated across different teams and initiatives
  4. Extend advanced technical and/or business consultative services during inception as well as post-implementation
  5. Create design documents that ensure consistency in development across the organization
  6. Drive towards an architecture that optimizes flexibility, re-use, scalability, performance, durability and availability, using lesser complexities
  7. Make yourself available to Software Engineering, and others, to avoid architectural bottle necks, working in close harmony with key stakeholders and colleagues, keeping them engaged and informed.

Requirements

Key Skills

TECHNICAL EXPERT

Solid technical knowledge in AWS platform, .NET, Web API, Node.js, and AngularJS. There will be a requirement to be hands on in this architectural role with the ability to write code.

DESIGNER

Demonstratable experience in enterprise-level design, implementation and integration. A strong experience of technical architecture, SOA, microservices, and event driven architectures

INNOVATOR

Aptitude to look at solutions in creative and unconventional ways, recognising opportunities to innovate, and engage partners in vision and strategy

COMMUNICATOR

Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills, with the ability to explain technical details and challenges to a wide variety of audiences (including executive leadership)
