Position

Reporting to the Management Accountant UK, this role plays a critical role in in the delivery of Gross Margin reporting, Revenue assurance and sales ledger accounting. Working in partnership with analysts and internally across multiple functions this person is responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of financial Energy reporting for submission through the management accountants to clients.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities of the role

· Extraction and manipulation of large volumes of data for input into the gross margin processes

· Build skills to apply data manipulation techniques to enhance, streamline and understand reporting

· Responsibility for the routine creation of timely and accurate regulatory reporting to the management accountants for delivery to ENSEKS customer base

· Build relationships with internal senior stakeholders, understanding deadlines and priorities

· Understand and enhance control reporting and to assure quality of gross margin reporting service across multiple deployments

Requirements

KEY TECHNICAL SKILLS:

1. Able to deliver a complex reporting, prioritise effectively, and work well in a team

2. Some experience in the complex workings of the energy market.

3. A keen eye for detail – spotting trends and exceptions.

4. Analytical in nature and able get to the underlying data issues

SQL skills to an intermediate level, advanced Excel skills.


KEY PERSONAL SKILLS:

1. A hands-on team player with the ability to deliver at a rapid pace

2. A problem solver who isn’t afraid to roll sleeves up and get stuck in

3. A flexible attitude and able to thrive in a high pressure environment

Experience in Energy/Utilities would be advantageous but not essential
