In this role you will be the Industry Change subject matter expert for ENSEK covering the APAC area. This relates to ENSEK’s own regulatory commitments and to those of our clients. It will involve the ongoing monitoring of industry changes and ensuring that the business is appraised of these changes to maintain product compliance. In addition, you will ensure that ENSEK is proactively involved and engaged in energy industry consultations. In doing all of the above you will create and maintain good governance across industry change and own the processes interfacing with our clients and the business.

Responsibilities

1. Reporting into the Regs & Compliance Manager you will conduct a regular horizon scan of industry code changes and regulatory changes applicable to ENSEK.
2. Maintain the Industry Change Register of industry code and regulatory changes applicable to ENSEK.
3. Monitor all relevant changes and conduct an initial triage ahead of creating an Impact Assessment to be carried out by the Product Owners.
4. Co-ordinate monthly Industry Change and Impact Assessment meetings and maintain the supporting governance for these.
5. Have an awareness and develop knowledge in relation to Regulatory Reporting and Customer Number trigger requirements.
6. Support the Regulations Manager to build relationships with key client stakeholders, acting as the ‘critical friend’ in all things Industry Change.
7. Provide an overview of change to support the product teams to be industry compliant and contribute to monthly comms and articles.
8. Support the Regs Manager with regulatory and data led risk assessments and audits.
9. Work with the regulator(s) for the region, Ofgem to understand and implement changes that are being pushed down, whilst also constantly engaging with them to push up, influencing those industry changes, making ENSEK’s voice, and those of our clients, heard.

ENERGY KNOW-HOW

You must have a strong background in the energy industry with an in-depth knowledge of the industry codes and compliance in the APAC regions specifically.

COMMUNICATION

You’ll have to liaise with client contacts, industry code bodies and the regulator as well as internally with Developers, Product Owners and Account Directors. You will therefore need good drafting and communication skills.

CLIENT FOCUS

You’ll be putting the customer at the front of your thinking every day as a trusted partner. You will develop knowledge of their business and support in showing how ENSEK can help them achieve their goals.

INFLUENCER

You will contribute to the development of the company regulatory strategy and that of external clients.
