Position

The Regulation and Compliance team has a unique function that requires us to bring together expertise from across the market and disseminate knowledge to a wide variety of stakeholders. In this role you will be an industry change expert for ENSEK UK; this expertise relates to ENSEK’s own regulatory commitments and to those of our clients. The role will involve ongoing monitoring of Industry changes, ensuring that the business is appraised of changes, and maintaining product compliance.

  • Horizon scanning to identify potential threats, risks, emerging issues and opportunities
  • Understand and communicate the impacts of policy and regulatory change to ENSEK UK
  • Manage Industry change meetings both internally and externally
  • Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships internally and externally
  • Develop and execute compliance-related governance and internal controls frameworks
  • Develop, complete and report on internal compliance checks and ensure rectification plans are in place where required
  • Monitor, analyse and report on compliance risks
  • Liaise with and feedback to relevant stakeholders to ensure that required training/ process/ system improvements are raised and dealt with appropriately
  • Provide expert advice to internal stakeholders to support other business units in the compliant delivery of their functions

Requirements

ENERGY KNOW-HOW

Understanding of the UK energy regulatory environment and market design with operational insight. Detailed understanding of complex industry processes and associated code and regulatory obligations experience in a regulatory or compliance role within the energy sector.

COMMUNICATION

Proven stakeholder management with robust interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and drive change. Excellent communication skills with the ability to tailor communication and communicate complex information effectively at all levels.

ANALYSIS

Ability to extract and analyse relevant data to make sound judgements, and to be accountable for those decisions especially within a pressurised environment. Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

HARD WORKING

Efficient, organised, self-motivated and able to work to deadlines with accurate attention to detail. Ability to deliver against agreed targets in terms of quality and productivity. Resilient, with ability to adapt to changing circumstances and role requirements. Open minded with an attitude for learning.
