Position

In this role, you will apply your extensive knowledge of AWS Cloud Infrastructure to design, implement and improve the services provided by ENSEK across our portfolio of clients. You will be responsible for planning, designing, deploying and maintaining AWS Infrastructure to meet project/product requirements and accommodate fluctuations in client demand. You will define, and drive adherence to, standards and best practices for both the delivery and operation of infrastructure and applications within the team and across the wider organisation.

You will also ensure high standards in availability, continuity and security through the design and implementation of event management capabilities and controls across the estate. A solid understanding of the ITIL Service Management Framework and Agile delivery methodologies is desirable. You will define, implement, manage and improve streamlined DevOps processes & ways of working to help facilitate efficient and effective deployment of the release pipeline. This will include the management of pre- and post-deployment engagement with the Product, Engineering and QA community that feed into the release pipeline.


Responsibilities

  1. You will be self-driven, well organised and able to manage conflicting priorities.
  2. You will be expected to identify and lead improvement initiatives, both technological and procedural.
  3. You will have your finger on the pulse – leveraging new technologies, toolsets and disciplines to maximise improvement opportunities for ENSEK solutions and services.
  4. You will play an active role in the engineering community driving best practice in design and engineering to ensure efficient and effective deployment into live operation, and minimising incidents resulting from change.
  5. You will be expected to document Standard Operating Procedures, crib sheets and service architecture for knowledge share purposes within the team and across the wider organisation

Requirements

TECH STACK

  • New Relic or similar application monitoring experience (Datadog, Splunk, etc)

TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE

You will have extensive experience designing, implementing and operating AWS Cloud Infrastructure and tooling. You will be AWS certified and be passionate about knowledge & personal development across both existing and emerging technologies. Extensive experience in Release and Deployment automation tooling (preferably Azure DevOps) is imperative. A solid understanding of cyber security (in particular Cloud Security), PCI and ISO27001 compliance.
