Company Description

In a nutshell, we’re a software company operating in the energy sector. Our world class Software as a Service platform is the go-to option for leading energy suppliers and new market entrants alike. To understand what we do, think about your home. Somebody supplies your energy, and those suppliers are our customers. They need software to manage your account. We provide a wide range of solutions from signing up customers, taking meter readings and generating bills, to the roll-out of smart metering, managing revenue leakage and the interaction with energy comparison sites.

We are based in Nottingham in the UK but are expanding into other territories across the globe. We have just over 200 employees and are one of the fastest growing tech businesses in the country.

Position

You will be a data migration expert, responsible for supporting new clients to migrate onto ENSEK platforms. Reporting to the Consulting Data Analyst, you will work closely with client teams to provide data subject matter expertise: from delivering their migration strategy, to understanding the data requirements for target systems, from working with senior clients on historic data strategy to rolling your sleeves up to manipulate large data sets. You will be adaptable and thrive in a fast-paced, multi-project environment, keeping up to date with relevant new technologies

  1. Work alongside client teams and project BAs to help deliver migration strategies, considering:
    • type of migration
    • customer segmentation
    • data readiness criteria
    • phasing and size of cohorts
    • success criteria
    • historical data requirements
  2. Articulate data requirements to technical teams at ENSEK.
  3. Support clients with data mapping and understanding of data elements and transformation required to migrate onto ENSEK systems. Comfortable working with APIs.
  4. Support clients to identify data reconciliation/ cleanse activities required for data readiness.
  5. Whilst migrations are executed via reusable tooling, there may be a requirement to carry out some transformation and load activities by exception. An ability to programmatically manipulate data on a large scale is desirable.
  6. Be an expert in energy industry and ENSEK system data elements (this may require speedy upskilling).

Primarily based from our Nottingham office and home, however, there will be some travel within the UK and internationally to client sites.
