As a result of continued development, an ambitious growth strategy and support to all group companies we’re looking for an experienced Group Technical Manager to lead all compliance with Legal, Customer and Accreditation requirements and ensure quality compliance matters are managed within a culture of ongoing continuous improvement.

What you'll be doing:

• Providing support, guidance and expertise to the procurement function in context of supplier selection, supplier expertise, product quality attributes and control parameters which will successfully contribute to exceeding customer expectations, growing sales and profit
• Ensuring effective supplier management from initial selection & approval through conducting site visits, issuing performance updates and instigate joint business/ improvement plans
• Ensuring products conform to all applicable standards and oversee preparation for testing/audit
• Standardising, developing, documenting, managing and leading NPI and NPD processes across all group sites
• Staying informed of industry challenges, issues and developments, sharing insight within the technical and procurements teams to mitigate impact and support sales growth

You will have:

• At least 2 years proven experience within a Technical Manager role, ideally in the manufacturing and/or construction environment
• Window, door or glass manufacturing experience
• Ability to manage multiple projects and motivate/influence internal teams and external stakeholders at all levels
• Excellent organisational & planning skills
• Problem solving skills and abillity to make decisions independently
• IT skills and experience of using associated technical software and programmes
• Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks in a changing, fast paced environment

Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience

Working hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
