Dron & Dickson are specialists in integrated supply, installation and maintenance of harsh & hazardous electrical equipment. Based at five UK locations, we provide specialist E&I inspection, maintenance and project services to all parts of the Offshore & Onshore Energy sector, Pharmaceutical and Marine industries. Managed from our UK locations, our services operate within the UK, Europe, Africa and Asia.

Position

The primary purpose of this role is to nurture and develop opportunities for the Engineering Services Project team. This is delivered through high levels of engagement with key clients, and liaising with internal stakeholders. Objective: The primary objective of this role is to develop existing client relationships and attain opportunites for the Electrical Projects team, provide techncial guidance to ensure service expectations are met.

Reporting to: Engineering Services Director, UK.


Core Alignment Responsibilities:

Role Responsibilities:

  • Review client enquiries and offer technical solutions
  • Liaise with clients to provide front end technical support for opportunity development
  • Co-ordinate inputs to the proposal process from various internal and external sources
  • Generate proposal documents using standard templates
  • Own and manage all project-based proposals
  • Liaise and build relationships with specialist manufacturer partners
  • To deliver sales and margins in line with the budget
  • To promote our Engineering Services division in accordance with the technical capabilities within the company
  • To ensure the company is professionally represented at all times.
  • Manage the compilation of information and reporting on enquiries, leads and contract awards.
  • To advise on the activity of our competitors, both commercially and in-service performance via the monthly OPS report.
  • Responsible for input of client details into the CRM system.
  • Ensure Call Interactions are recorded in line with the process and in a timely manner
  • To work with the Marketing team to identify marketing opportunities.
  • To be fully aware, assist and support the ongoing development of the integrated management system.
  • To maintain good communications with internal and external clients
  • To take a proactive approach to continuous improvement and development of the company’s systems and processes
  • Ad hoc duties as requested by management
  • Travel may be necessary to ensure delivery of business needs.
  • Social and business networking is expected

HSEQ Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the Company meets its statutory obligations in all areas pertaining to health, safety and welfare at work, including statutory training and reporting.

Requirements

Preferred Experience:

  • Fire & Gas detection or control system engineering experience
  • Good understanding of Electrical standards and approval requirements
  • Familiarity with hazardous area electrical equipment

Core Training & Competencies:

  • Minimum HNC in Electrical Engineering
  • Full UK Driving license

Contracted Hours: 38.25 hours per week with 45 mins for lunch


Hours of work:

  • Mon to Thurs: 8.30am – 5pm
  • Fri: 8.30am – 4.30pm

Company Car:

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to recieve either a company car or a car allowance
