Dron & Dickson are specialists in integrated supply, installation and maintenance of harsh & hazardous electrical equipment. Based at five UK locations, we provide specialist E&I inspection, maintenance and project services to all parts of the Offshore & Onshore Energy sector, Pharmaceutical and Marine industries. Managed from our UK locations, our services operate within the UK, Europe, Africa and Asia.

Position

The primary purpose of this role is to provide a service to employees and contractors and to maintain accurate payroll records whilst adhering to finance processes and HMRC regulations.

Objective: The primary objective of this role is to ensure accurate payments and record keeping for both offshore PAYE staff and PSC’s.

Reporting to: Finance Manager

Direct Reports: None.

Core Alignment Responsibilities:

  • Understand and support the company’s strategy and mission
  • Responsibility for personal development and KPI completion

Role Responsibilities:

  • Monitor ES Mailboxes including sorting and electronically filing all documents received.
  • Review and approve PSC & PAYE offshore timesheets in line with contractual terms & conditions.
  • Processing PSC timesheets, invoices, and weekly BACS payments
  • Processing PAYE offshore timesheets weekly through ERP system & Sage payroll including all overtime, expenses and ad-hoc payments ensuring accurate and timely input and payment.
  • Processing IR35 ‘deemed’ employees timesheets, invoices and PAYE/NIC deductions.
  • Pension assessments for all new starts and upload pension file to Scottish Widows weekly
  • FPS Submission to HMRC weekly
  • Ensure Sage Payroll system is updated and maintained (new starts/leavers/tax codes etc)
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of Offshore PAYE holiday pay calculations and payments.
  • Complete weekly payroll reporting requirements
  • Proactive and committed to payroll legislation updates and changes.
  • Provide support to the Finance Manager and Project Cost Accountant as directed
  • Provide Ad-hoc Financial Support to ES dept as required.
  • Provide cover for various roles within the finance team as required:
  • To maintain good communications with internal and external clients
  • To take a proactive approach to continuous improvement and development of the company’s systems and processes
  • Adhere to company confidentiality policy as set out in contract of employment, with particular emphasis on non-divulgence of sensitive financial information to anyone outside the finance dept.
  • Ad hoc duties as requested by management.
  • Travel may be necessary to ensure delivery of business needs.
  • Social and business networking is expected.

Contracted Hours: 38.25 hours per week with 45 mins for lunch

Hours of work:

  • Mon to Thurs: 8.30am – 5pm
  • Fri: 8.30am – 4.30pm
