Dron & Dickson are specialists in integrated supply, installation and maintenance of harsh & hazardous electrical equipment. Based at five UK locations, we provide specialist E&I inspection, maintenance and project services to all parts of the Offshore & Onshore Energy sector, Pharmaceutical and Marine industries. Managed from our UK locations, our services operate within the UK, Europe, Africa and Asia.

Position

Our systems, processes and cultures coupled with our supply and services ensures people, plant and the environment are kept safe.The primary purpose of this role is to develop and execute this strategy for the engineering services department. This is achieved and delivered through the engagement of key existing and targeted clients, whilst liaising with internal stakeholders. Continual promotion of the companys’ Engineering services capabilities, alongside our culture and our core values, to ensure our customers are recieving the best possible service levels. Proactively source solutions to resolve client challenges and deliver technical and commercial benefits through the use of our Engineering Services.

Objective: The primary objective of this role is to source new business opportunities, whilst nurturing and developing existing business. Ensure the company is seeking out new and further opportunities by sourcing adequate market intelligence to maintain and grow Dron & Dickson’s position within the market place.

Reporting to: Engineering Services Director

Direct Reports: None.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Understand and support the company's strategy and mission
  • To formulate and implement a comprehensive business plan designed to increase market share geared towards profitable growth both in existing and new markets in conjunction with Engineering Services UK Manager & Engineering Services Director.
  • To engage with customers to gain opportunities to in line with department/company capabilities.
  • To track progress of projects, campaigns or new scopes of work from enquiry through to order stage.
  • To visit all allocated and potential customers and feedback any changes and opportunities required on a regular basis.
  • To promote our Electrical Services division in accordance with the technical capabilities within the company.
  • To promote our Electrical Wholesale division services and liaise with Wholesale Business Development Managers and Branch Managers where applicable.
  • Identify and investigate new services with existing and new customers.
  • To work with the Strategic Deployment Managers where applicable in respect of New Energy opportunities.
  • Ensure the existing client database is maintained, developed and actively recorded on company ERP system.
  • To ensure the company is professionally represented at all times.
  • To complete and keep up to date all company documentation relevant to the role.
  • Manage the compilation of information and reporting upon enquiries, leads and contract awards.
  • To advise upon the activity of our competitors, both commercially and in-service performance via the monthly OPS report.
  • Keep up to date with industry legislation.
  • To work with the Marketing Co-ordinator to identify marketing opportunities.
  • To deliver sales and margins in line with the budget.
  • To be fully aware, assist and support the ongoing development of the integrated management system.
  • To maintain good communications with internal and external clients.
  • To take a proactive approach to continuous improvement and development of the company’s systems and processes.
  • Ad hoc duties as requested by management.
  • Travel may be necessary to ensure delivery of business needs.
  • Social and business networking is expected

HSEQ Responsibilities:

  • Comply with all Dron & Dickson’s integrated managements system including all policies and Procedures
  • Ensure the Company meets its statutory obligations in all areas pertaining to health, safety and welfare at work, including statutory training and reporting.

Core Training & Competencies:

  • Minimum HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
  • Full UK Driving License
  • Experience in Energy or Process sectors is desirable
  • Knowledge & experience within Electrical Engineering
  • Fire & Gas systems, installation and maintenance
  • E&I Minor Mods/Project Control

Contracted Hours: 38.25 hours per week with 45 mins for lunch

Hours of work:

  • Mon to Thurs:8.30am – 5pm
  • Fri:8.30am – 4.30pm

Company Car:

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to recieve either a company car or a car allowance
