An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Communications Officer, to be based out of our operation in the Port of Southampton. Reporting to the Port Operations Director, the Communications Officer will be responsible for helping to develop and implement our marketing and internal communications strategy and plans. The ficus on this role is very much from an interal comms perspective.

We would consider applicants for either Full time or Part time (minimum 3 days per week).

To include duties such as:

• To support the regional Communications team and Senior Management in delivering Communications strategy and plans.

• Lead on social value engagement through working with local charities and developing sustainability initiatives across DP World Southampton and London Gateway.

• Support the marketing activity across DP World Southampton and London Gateway.

• Manage and deliver DP World Southampton’s internal publications and staff communications channels, including our company intranet, staff notices, updating the website and other projects where needed.

• Help to manage the terminals media relationships and ensure effective communications activity.

• Other ad-hoc duties and projects.

• Experience within an internal communications setting
• Ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work with all audiences and cultures
• Excellent team player
• Professional and Confident communicator with excellent presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to use tact, diplomacy, and persuasiveness
