CNS is a leading Port Community System provider and a wholly owned subsidiary of DP World, our systems enable the movement of cargo through many of the UK’s ports and airports. CNS’s customers, including many household names of the freight and logistics industry, rely 24/7 on CNS’s systems to manage their operational and customs processes. Position

Develops the strategy for managing client relationships at CNS, managing the work relationship for CNS’s business partners/clients. Set strategies to identify new business opportunities among existing partners/client and proactively looks for new services or clients to increase volume of business from a portfolio of accounts and consistently provides excellent service whilst maximising profitability.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proactive management of key commercial and regulatory stakeholders.
  • Supporting commercia negotiations for key customers.
  • Identify new business growth opportunities within the scope of CNS’ product site, leveraging relationships to deliver cross-sell opportunities for new products to existing or new customers.
  • Provide oversight of the end-to-end customer experience of CNS products and services and provide input to product and service improvement based on customer feedback.
  • Represent CNS in trade bodies, including IPCSA. This will require a limited amount of international travel.

Requirements

  • Educated to a high standard with 3 good ‘A’ levels as a minimum, or equivalent experience
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent preferable
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of logistics and customs processes gained in a commercial environment
  • Appropriate business knowledge, including prior industry knowledge advantageous
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Experience of managing high level relationships with commercial and government stakeholders
  • Excellent influencing skills
  • Excellent communication and presentations skills, comfortable public speaking
  • Ability to build positive relationships with customers, partners and government agencies

Other information

HOURS OF WORK: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday)


SALARY: Competitive, depending upon experience
