Position

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join us at at our Bristol office in the UK. Our Project Managers work across all DI offices and manage the delivery of a broad range of projects, ranging from research publications and technical products to high-profile events and operational improvements.

This role will see you working predominately on the Global Nutrition Report (GNR) project, but with the flexibility to take on other projects when required.

Duties include:

  • Facilitate input and gain agreement from key stakeholders on scope, schedule, budget, risk and quality for each project.
  • Establish and maintain governance for the delivery of projects, defining clear roles, responsibilities and accountabilities that align with organisational practice.
  • Create and manage budgets for specific projects, analyse expenditure and produce reforecasts.
  • Lead on planning and relationship management for each project.
  • Manage donor liaison for fundraising, including identifying areas requiring support, drafting funding proposals, and preparing project and budget content for individual donor templates.

Requirements

We are looking for an individual with a wide range of technical skills to assist in the planning, budgeting and monitoring of projects, as well as essential people management skills that ensure a project manager can lead, enable, motivate and communicate. You’ll be required to have at least three years’ experience and a demonstrated ability in managing a range of diverse projects.

We need someone who has experience of planning, relationship and stakeholder management, along with experience of facilitating the resolution of challenging project issues.

It would be an advantage to your application if you have a project management qualification (PMD Pro, PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMP or similar) and knowledge of international development or a demonstrated interest in nutrition-related issues.
