Company Description

Development Initiatives applies the power of data and evidence to build sustainable solutions.

Our mission is to work closely with partners to ensure data-driven evidence and analysis are used effectively in policy and practice to end poverty, reduce inequality and increase resilience.

While data alone cannot bring about a better world, it is vital to achieving it. Data has the power to unlock insight, shine a light on progress and empower people to increase accountability.

Position

This exciting role will provide support to the Communications team, sharing responsibility for house style, maintaining brand integrity and ensuring the highest quality of editorial control across all our outputs.

The successful candidate will play a key role in bringing print and digital products to life, ensuring that content we produce on poverty and development finance is presented in a compelling and accessible way. They will manage production processes, working closely with internal stakeholders across DI's locations, as well as our external suppliers.

Duties Include:

  • Ensure high standards across all our outputs by copyediting, proofreading and maintaining DI house style
  • Manage production processes, ensuring project tasks are delivered to agreed deadlines
  • Enable the delivery of effective, audience-focused materials on a range of DI’s key focus areas of work

Requirements

We are looking for a team player with excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail who can create and present content for a range of projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of publishing techniques.

You will be required to have an undergraduate degree or equivalent and at least two years’ experience of copyediting and proofreading, and editorial management/production.

We are experimenting with a blended approach to home and office working and so are flexible on your location, provided that you are based within the UK and can visit our offices in Bristol on a regular basis.
