Position

This role consolidates key responsibilities of collateral monitoring and cash management position within STF. The role is principally focused on managing and optimizing working capital assets of CZ used as collateral to satisfy CZ working capital requirement while minimizing liquidity risk.


This role also looks at cash position of CZ across subsidiaries and will broadly encompass:

· Cash pooling of proceeds received through sales receipts in CZ subsidiaries’ accounts into CGL nominated account;

· Payments to suppliers and margin calls (through Accounts Payable module of CZ internal system Suite);

· Loan book management.


Tasks & Responsibilities


· Track and record evolution of working capital assets posted as collateral and financed under syndicated and bi-lateral facilities in accordance with established borrowing rules, procedures and specific bank requirements.

· Monitor and evaluate collateral positions and eligibility criteria to ensure compliance with borrowing guidelines and standards, as appropriate.

· Work to optimise collateral allocation and utilisation of loans among lenders with the purpose of identifying requirements for collateral substitution depending on eligibility and specific borrowing criteria.

· Perform collateral valuation and analysis to assess liquidity risk associated with re-evaluation of collateral assets, in order to forecast and monitor cash impact on borrowings and cash surpluses, as the case may be.

· Monitor collateral haircuts, concentration limits and other risk metrics to manage collateral exposures effectively.

· Work on resolving collateral-related discrepancies and operational issues in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

· Provide proactive service and support by addressing internal and external inquiries, facilitate collateral-related reporting and analytics, addressing bank-specific requirements and requests.

· Prepare and submit collateral-related reports and disclosures to internal and external stakeholders as may be required.

· Monitor margin calls and collateral requirements from lenders and coordinate the timely provision of eligible collateral in response to margin calls, ensuring sufficient collateral coverage and optimising funding costs.

· Assist STF “lender leads” with review and negotiation of documentation pertaining to practical implications of collateral monitoring and reporting, including but not limited to eligibility criteria and concentration limits.

· Collaborate with internal stakeholders to achieve CZ organizational goals.

· Attend training courses which are identified as being necessary for the performance of the role.

· Be fully conversant with the Employee Handbook and supporting policies, including Health & Safety legislation and fire and emergency procedures.

· Comply with any reasonable instruction issued by your manager.

· Work on development and implementation of risk management strategies, such as collateral diversification and/or hedging, to mitigate potential risks from fluctuations in collateral valuation.

· Oversee collateral operations and settlement processes, including collateral posting, transfers, substitutions and reconciliations.

· Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders including banks, alternative lenders, agency desks, brokers and other parties involved in collateral management activities.

· Assist STF “lender leads” with loan management including timely surplus cash withdrawals, loan drawdowns, loan rollovers and repayments in co-ordination with Accounting, Treasury and relevant financing banks.

Requirements

We are looking for someone with the following skillset and attributes:


Essential:

· Business level fluency in Spanish (both written and verbal)

· Graduate or post graduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or in a related field, or in excess of 3 years’ relevant work experience in collateral management, Middle Office, Credit, internal audit or related financial services roles.

· Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities concurrently.

· Business level fluency in English (both written and verbal)

· Advanced communication skills

· Strong I.T. skills including proficiency in Excel and Word

· Keen attention to detail and the ability to multi-task

· Self-starter with the ability to use initiative for problem solving

· Resourceful, innovative and proactive

· Personable with the ability to build relationships and communicate with all levels both internally and externally


Desirable:

· Basic understanding of working capital assets/transactional collateral, derivatives products and risk management principles.
