Position

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Involvement in the month end close and contribute to the quarterly board reporting
  • Assistance with VAT reporting and compliance
  • Resolution of regular ad hoc issues faced by a multi-national organisation:
  • Liaising with accountants in other regions
  • Liaising with other areas of the company including front office, operations, and trade finance to resolve problems
  • Contribute during annual audit from engagement through sign off and involvement with the preparation of the annual financial statements
  • Contribute to the annual budgeting process
  • Ad hoc assistance with routine transactional processes and treasury tasks including covering for other team members
  • Involvement in the preparation of various ad hoc finance presentations and reports throughout the year
  • Contribution to maintenance of full trial balance of a dynamic trading entity
  • Troubleshoot problems in our accounting systems

· To take responsibility for your performance and to work together to achieve our organizational goals

· To attend training courses which are identified as being necessary for the performance of the role.

· To be fully conversant with the Employee Handbook and supporting policies, including Health & Safety legislation and fire and emergency procedures

Requirements

We are looking for someone with the following skillset and attributes:


Essential:

· Part-Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA

· Ability to form relationships within finance team, net revenue desk and wider office to ensure positive collaborative working environment

· Business level fluency in English (both written and verbal)

· Advanced communication skills

· Strong I.T. skills including proficiency in Excel, Powerpoint and Word

· Excellent organisation and time management skills

· Keen attention to detail and the ability to multi-task

· Self-starter with the ability to use initiative for problem solving

· Resourceful, innovative and proactive

· Personable with the ability to build relationships and communicate with all levels both internally and externally


Desirable:

· SUN Systems accounting software and Infor Q&A / Vision.

· Previous exposure to multi-currency entities.

Who is the Controller

Czarnikow Group Limited is the data controller responsible for your personal data. In addition, depending on where you are located or the services that you are receiving, other members of our group may also be acting as data controllers. Their details can be found at Appendix 1 of this Policy.

Personal data we collect about you

We will collect (either directly from you or via third parties) and process the following personal data about you.

•      Information you give us: s. This includes information you provide when you register to use the Site, subscribe to any of our services, enter into any transaction, participate in discussion boards or other social media functions on the Site, respond to a survey and when you report a problem with our services or our Site. This information may include your name, address, date of birth, e-mail address, phone number, job title and employer, your username, password and other registration and profile information, copies of identification documents (e.g. passport, driving licence), personal descriptions, photograph and any other personal data you provide to us in order to facilitate the use of our services and our Site;

•      Financial, Credit and Anti-Fraud information: We may require information such as your bank account details and information relating to your financial situation, your creditworthiness, and any anti-fraud information. We will also require information to ensure the advice and/or services we provide to you are appropriate for you and the investments you purchase are suitable for you;

•      Correspondence: If you contact us (e.g. in person, via email or phone), we will typically keep a record of that correspondence;

Storage security and international transfers

The personal data that we collect from you will be transferred to, and stored at, a destination inside the EEA [or the UK].

We provide an international service. For example, you may request us to execute an international contract, provide global anti-money laundering and counter terrorist financing solutions and provide ongoing support services. As a result of this, your personal data may be transferred outside of the EEA and the UK in order for us to fulfil our contract with you to provide our services. Where required by applicable law, all such data transfers are managed under relevant data transfer agreements or other lawful export solutions.

We will take all steps to ensure that your personal data is treated securely and in accordance with this policy. The transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal data transmitted to our Site; any transmission is at your own risk. How long will we keep your personal data?

Our retention periods for personal data are based on business needs and legal requirements. We retain personal data for as long as is necessary for the processing purpose(s) for which the personal data was collected, and any other permissible, related purpose.

For example, we may retain certain transaction details and correspondence until the time limit for claims arising from the transaction has expired, or to comply with regulatory requirements regarding the retention of such data.
