Position

The Interim IT Support Specialist role provides IT support to the Catapults staff to ensure they can use IT effectively to contribute to the aims and objectives of the organisation. To best achieve this, the role stretches beyond day-to-day user support activities and into the maintenance of IT systems to ensure they continue run with minimum downtime.


Due to organisation growth and the evolving nature of IT hardware and software, it is necessary to be involved in projects which deliver new IT equipment and services. This role is part of the whole project lifecycle from investigation, procurement, testing, documentation, rollout and eventually support. Key tasks include:


  • Logging all IT activity into the ticketing system, keeping logs, security tools and assets up to date and adhering to ITIL principles to ensure compliance to process and procedure.
  • Provide a proactive approach to IT support through documentation, training and guidance.
  • Support internal/ remote workers with IT issues within a Microsoft Windows/ Office infrastructure.
  • Maintain all IT assets to achieve the highest levels of security and reliability.
  • Working closely with the IT Manager to provide day to day support and alert them to any potential dangers.
  • Work with external suppliers of IT Goods, services and technical support who provide technical assistance on many of the platforms and services when needed.
  • Support and maintain telephony and teleconferencing assets.
  • Assist guests and partners with access to Catapult assets and information.
  • Daily IT management checks of systems such as Antivirus, Backups and Network.
  • Ensure that all IT activities are logged accurately in our ticketing system.
  • Write, review and publish technical documentation and procedures.
  • Provide training and guidance to internal users on the correct usage of systems.
  • Manage the IT asset database, ensuring everything is tagged, logged and up to date.
  • Work with suppliers to procure IT goods and services.
  • Work with departments around the catapult on IT projects to improve efficiency, accuracy and security.
  • Adhering to data security principles, alert dangers to the IT manager.

Requirements

  • Experience in an IT Support based role ideally working with Microsoft 365 and Azure
  • Understanding of cloud concepts as they relate to IT Infrastructure
  • Understanding of ITIL principles and Project Management
  • Knowledge of IT through a qualification such as CompTIA A+ is desirable
  • Microsoft Qualifications (MTA, MCSA, MCSE, MCSD, MOS, MCP) are desirable
  • Ability to work effectively in a service-oriented role, supporting all stakeholders in the organisation.
  • Excellent organisational Skills

  • Up to £26,600 annual salary based on a 30 hour week
  • This is a fixed term contract offered until 28 March 2025 covering maternity leave, annual salary pro rata'd according to start date

Collection and use of information

CSA Catapult collects information and data that users choose to provide; CSA Catapult also collects information related to access of users in order to identify, solve problems and improve offered services.
The purpose of the collection and the use of information are those of the autonomous reporting by candidates towards clients and partners of CSA Catapult, which are interested in searching and recruiting human resources, through the information of curricula vitae and profiles voluntarily entered by the candidates themselves.

The information that users choose to insert on the Portal will be consulted, used and classified by other individuals/ organizations that can have access, as holders of rights guaranteed by the partnership or customer relationship with CSA Catapult.
CSA Catapult performs all necessary operations to ensure that the information are placed in a safe and protected environment, trying to restrict access to the database and distributing rights to users with adequate methods, but can not guarantee that unauthorized individuals/ organizations will not have access through an irregular method.
CSA Catapult, moreover, can not control the ways in which the authorized users catalog and transfer the information downloaded from the database, therefore it is user's responsibility to ensure that sensitive information are not inserted in CSA Catapult Portal.
Information provided by the Users are used by CSA Catapult to deliver offered products and services and to develop the Portal; some of our services may include the display of customized contents and advertising messages.
CSA Catapult may use the user's information to contact him/ her about Portal updates, to conduct surveys and for informative communications (with the possibility for the user to refuse the consent) and related to its services, including updates of the software used.

Communication of collected information

CSA Catapult may share information provided by users with third parties that support the delivery of its products and the performance of its services towards the users. These third parties may not use these information for purposes other than assistance and support in providing these products and services.

The information gathered can be shared if this is required by law. The information gathered on our web sites are cataloged in whole or in part in Italy and are subject to Italian law.

CSA Catapult may disclose or transfer information if its business is sold or acquired.

Management of his/ her own information by the user

The user can review, correct or delete its personal information at any time; to perform these operations, user can enter in his/ her private area, click on the Profile and/ or User Settings button and make all necessary changes.
The above information about the users will be deleted, but logs and other user demographic and statistical information could be kept, maintaining an archived copy of these information anonymously.
If the personal information of the users have been consulted by other individuals/ organizations before the revisions and deletions, CSA Catapult can not perform the deletion of previous information on their systems.i.
