Position

The daily life of our BPOs:

'' Working in concert with the Technical Product Owner, the Business Product Owner is responsible for representing the '' Business '' side of our developments. He must therefore have a good knowledge of portfolio management, to fully understand the needs of our users. He will also be capable of discriminating according to the value between several initiatives and to prioritize those which are the most profitable, therefore, top of the backlog. ''

The BPO puts its knowledge into practice through two or three teams, sometimes more, allowing it to create links between products and to maximize the strengths of its collaborators to deliver the best products to our users, our customers.

  • ​Prioritize the backlog in conjunction with the TPO;
  • Ensure the product’s business alignment while respecting its technical alignment;
  • Act as representative for users and be the main link with clients to define needs;
  • Ensure alignment with the product vision;
  • Act as a purveyor of good analytical practices in the team;
  • Develop an excellent understanding of client needs;
  • Provide a constructive link with the CPOs assigned to their products;
  • Ensure knowledge transfer of deliverables to clients;
  • Be responsible for ensuring second-level support;
  • Plan sprints in collaboration with the TPO with the objective of having four sprints planned in advance;
  • Any other related tasks.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of the financial markets and securities trading is an asset ;
  • Excellent analytical skills;
  • Recognized sense of leadership, ability to influence and mobilize;
  • Ability to build healthy workplace relationships with clients and co-workers;
  • Recognized organizational skills, ability to define priorities effectively;
  • Bilingualism (French and English);
  • Ability to quickly understand technical requirements and translate them into functionalities for the team;
  • Ability to conduct meetings and make presentations.
