Position

Ensuring success by providing legal advice


Conferma is a successful fintech business looking to hire a high-calibre lawyer to join their growing legal function. Providing commercial legal and data protection advice to the business operations, across all functions, as well as drafting and negotiating contracts, you will be a valued partner, supporting the ongoing commercial success of the organisation.

Requirements

A Legal Counsel at Conferma is responsible for:

  • In close collaboration with the business, structure, draft, and negotiate contracts that govern the framework of Conferma’s payments businesses’ relationships (including, banking, card scheme, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), supply chain contracts, and agency agreements), in addition to supporting the Commercial team in its efforts to onboard new customers/address existing customer relationships.
  • Draft and negotiate other complex commercial agreements with global accounts, distributors, partners, travel agencies, and suppliers.
  • Support the business unit’s product development team with product agreements and addendums for new product solutions.
  • Support and advise on a wide range of legal areas including antitrust, regulatory, intellectual property, litigation, data privacy, and corporate governance.
  • Must be able to organize and manage outside counsel spend effectively.


You have:

  • Qualified solicitor (at least 3 years PQE) with commercial legal, contract drafting/negotiation and data protection/privacy experience.
  • Experience with SaaS agreements and corporate governance matters is highly valued.
  • Unquestioned integrity and excellent judgment. Ability to make difficult decisions based on company-wide goals and strategies.
  • Exceptional relationship building skills and strong negotiation skills- ability to work effectively and have meaningful impact working at all levels, as well as across multiple functions around the world.
  • Ability to inspire confidence and gain and hold the trust of the management team is essential.

Compensation


Base Salary: £60,000 - £80,000

Bonus available: 10%

Salary and Bonus dependent on Location, experience and skills

Conferma, moreover, can not control the ways in which the authorized users catalog and transfer the information downloaded from the database, therefore it is user's responsibility to ensure that sensitive information are not inserted in Conferma Portal.

Information provided by the Users are used by Conferma to deliver offered products and services and to develop the Portal; some of our services may include the display of customized contents and advertising messages.

Conferma may use the user's information to contact him/ her about Portal updates, to conduct surveys and for informative communications (with the possibility for the user to refuse the consent) and related to its services, including updates of the software used.

Communication of collected information

Conferma may share information provided by users with third parties that support the delivery of its products and the performance of its services towards the users. These third parties may not use these information for purposes other than assistance and support in providing these products and services.

The information gathered can be shared if this is required by law. The information gathered on our web sites are cataloged in whole or in part in Italy and are subject to Italian law.

Conferma may disclose or transfer information if its business is sold or acquired.

Management of his/ her own information by the user

The user can review, correct or delete its personal information at any time; to perform these operations, user can enter in his/ her private area, click on the Profile and/ or User Settings button and make all necessary changes.

The above information about the users will be deleted, but logs and other user demographic and statistical information could be kept, maintaining an archived copy of these information anonymously.

If the personal information of the users have been consulted by other individuals/ organizations before the revisions and deletions, Conferma can not perform the deletion of previous information on their systems.i.
