Position

Over the past 18 years, Conferma have digitised the corporate hotel payment workflows by leveraging cards and curating an ecosystem of 80+ Card Issuers, 400+ Travel Management Company 150+ Booking platforms and more recently began evolving non travel B2B payment processes to benefit from optimised payment flows.


Data is core to the Conferma ecosystem and due to Conferma being on significant growth trajectory, we are now looking to bring on a dedicated Data Architect to join the Architecture team to take the Conferma Data Platform to the next level.


The role will be reporting to the Lead Solutions Architect but will have strong ties to the Data Engineering and Devops teams.


Innovation is at the heart of Conferma's identity, and the Data Architect will play a big part of the journey of migrating to Microsoft Azure, taking full advantage of the fantastic tools that Azure has to offer. In light of this, the successful candidate will need strong Azure migration skills.


The Data Architect at Conferma is responsible for:


Data Strategy and Governance

  • Designing data models, flow charts and data lineage.
  • Documenting and managing the current data platform landscape, including reverse engineering existing database designs
  • Setting technical direction for the data platform
  • Maintaining data integrity and security
  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive data strategy aligned with Conferma's overall business strategy.
  • Establishing and enforcing data governance policies to ensure data quality, accuracy, security, and compliance with regulations.

Data Management

  • Overseeing the design and implementation of data management frameworks, including data architecture, data modelling, data integration, and data storage.
  • Ensuring effective data lifecycle management, covering data acquisition, processing, storage, and disposal.

Data Privacy and Security

  • Implementing and enforcing data privacy and security measures to protect sensitive information.
  • Ensuring compliance with data protection regulations and standards.

Requirements

You have:


  • Strong Microsoft Azure migration experience, designing solutions to migrate data from traditional SQL databases into a mix of Synapse/Data Lake/Blob storage, along with use of Data Factory. This includes doing a full analysis of the current platform and documenting a full solution design including Advantages and Disadvantages along with migration plans, Risk mitigations and suggested solution.
  • Strong experience of optimising databases for OLTP usage where they have previously been a mix of OLTP and OLAP, including index optimisation.
  • Significant experience in Data modeling and the implementation of comprehensive data systems and data architectures
  • Fintech experience is ideal, but not essential
  • Knowledge and understanding of software development life cycles methodologies (such as agile software development, rapid prototyping, DevOps).
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills to deal with senior leadership, stakeholders and executives to build and nurture business relationships.
  • Attention to detail
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Ability to analyse data and make recommendations for improvements and presentation skills to translate this to key stakeholders

Compensation

Base Salary: Up to £85,000 (dependent upon experience)

Bonus available: 10% (performance related)

Conferma, moreover, can not control the ways in which the authorized users catalog and transfer the information downloaded from the database, therefore it is user's responsibility to ensure that sensitive information are not inserted in Conferma Portal.

Information provided by the Users are used by Conferma to deliver offered products and services and to develop the Portal; some of our services may include the display of customized contents and advertising messages.

Conferma may use the user's information to contact him/ her about Portal updates, to conduct surveys and for informative communications (with the possibility for the user to refuse the consent) and related to its services, including updates of the software used.

Communication of collected information

Conferma may share information provided by users with third parties that support the delivery of its products and the performance of its services towards the users. These third parties may not use these information for purposes other than assistance and support in providing these products and services.

The information gathered can be shared if this is required by law. The information gathered on our web sites are cataloged in whole or in part in Italy and are subject to Italian law.

Conferma may disclose or transfer information if its business is sold or acquired.

Management of his/ her own information by the user

The user can review, correct or delete its personal information at any time; to perform these operations, user can enter in his/ her private area, click on the Profile and/ or User Settings button and make all necessary changes.

The above information about the users will be deleted, but logs and other user demographic and statistical information could be kept, maintaining an archived copy of these information anonymously.

If the personal information of the users have been consulted by other individuals/ organizations before the revisions and deletions, Conferma can not perform the deletion of previous information on their systems.i.
