Company Description

Cartoon Saloon is a five time Academy Award (R), Golden Globe (R), BAFTA and Emmy nominated animation studio based in Kilkenny in the South East of Ireland. We are currently working on a number of projects in production and in development.


We are looking for an experienced Production Coordinator to join our team. This person will be a key member of the team & will work with the other key production and artistic leads.


  • Coordinate the daily running of the assigned departments and serve as the liaison and main hub of information between Supervisor, Lead(s), Artists and Production;
  • Maintain close communication with crew regarding their tasks and deadlines;
  • Check and report daily on individual artists progress and highlight delays to the Supervisor and Production Manager/s;
  • Prepare detailed weekly reports of department status and progress to the Production Manager/s, including individual artist progress report;
  • Work with the Supervisor and Lead(s) to form bids and allocations to artists;
  • Create and maintain daily floor schedules for the artists, taking into account weekly quota and prioritizing tasks in consultation with other departments;
  • Coordinate internal daily rounds and reviews and ensure the approvals process runs smoothly;
  • Project potential workflow and timeline issues as related within and between departments and suggest possible solutions to the Production Manager/s;
  • Populate Assets and Data into the Server, Shotgrid and/or any other production software in use at the time of production;
  • Set up and attend all meetings required by the production and take notes as appropriate;
  • Notify the Production Manager/s of any department delays and assist in finding solutions to delays as required;
  • Assist Production Manager/s with setting up New Starters, Leavers and tracking of Timesheets for your assigned team;
  • Promote a good work ethic and positive atmosphere within the team;
  • Assist in keeping information relation to the Program/s confidential and secure;
  • Attend and contribute to relevant meetings and trainings as needed;
  • Be available on Google Chat and by emails during working hours;
  • This list is not exhaustive and might be complemented by reasonable and related tasks that are requested of you


  • Minimum 2 years of Production experience on Feature film/ or TV Series is required
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Strong team player, capable of motivating and leading teams with enthusiasm
  • Highly organised and self motivated
  • An ability to work collaboratively & efficiently in a fast paced quality driven team
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office & Google Doc
  • Knowledge of asset tracking and database software (such as Shotgrid) is a distinct advantage
