Position

Junior Information Security Analyst

Worthing, West Sussex

Full time, Permanent – Hybrid

Up to £32,000 per year plus various company benefits


About the role


We are looking for a Junior Information Security Analyst to help us maintain a secure and reliable technology environment. In this role, you will assist in identifying and managing security risks and vulnerabilities across our systems, networks, applications, and supply chain.


As a Junior Information Security Analyst, you will work with senior members of the IT and Governance teams to help develop and maintain security policies and procedures. You will also assist with security assessments, business continuity testing and incident response activities.


Responsibilities


  • Assist with triaging of security tasks including email investigations, incidents and policy non-conformities
  • Help manage supply chain risk. Engaging with our corporate clients and vendors to complete due diligence tasks
  • Assist in identifying security risks and vulnerabilities across our systems, networks, and applications
  • Help develop and maintain security policies and procedures
  • Assist with security assessments and incident response activities
  • Keep up to date with emerging security threats and technologies

The Hours

  • Any days between Monday – Friday
  • 7.5 hour day completed between 08:00 - 18:00
  • Hybrid – Up to 1 day per week in the office, however you may be required to attend more often if required.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in information security, IT or a related field
  • Understanding of cyber security concepts and how this impacts wider IT practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new situations
  • Passion for information security and desire to continuously improve
  • Familiarity with frameworks such as ISO27001, GDPR and PCI DSS - highly desirable, but not essential
  • Cloud networking experience - highly desirable, but not essential
  • IT incident management - highly desirable, but not essential
  • Security certifications - highly desirable, but not essential
