Position

About the role…

Are you ready to drive revenue growth and foster lasting relationships with key government departments in the UK? We're seeking a Strategic Account Director to focus on developing opportunities across our strategic client base. In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in expanding our footprint within central government departments while ensuring alignment with their procurement objectives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with central government stakeholders, including procurement officers, department heads, and decision-makers.
  • Tailor our procurement services to address the unique needs and challenges of each department.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, offering insights to enhance procurement efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities for business growth within government departments and develop corresponding strategies.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to create tailored proposals and presentations.
  • Lead the sales process from lead generation to contract negotiation and closure.
  • Develop strategic account plans for each government department.
  • Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes to inform decision-making.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Work with marketing to develop targeted campaigns for government procurement audiences.
  • Monitor key performance metrics for government accounts and provide regular reports to senior leadership.
  • Lead a team of direct reports, ensuring achievement of development and sales targets.

About you…


To be considered for the role of Strategic Account Director we are looking for candidates to demonstrate the following:

  • Proven success in strategic account management, preferably within the government sector.
  • A deep understanding of UK government procurement processes and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proactive and results-driven approach to strategic thinking.
  • Ability to develop solution proposals that address customer issues and gain a competitive advantage.
