Bloom Procurement Services is currently recruiting a Solutions Architect to provide technical leadership to a multi-disciplinary agile team building a shared understanding of the outcomes the solution must deliver, the technical landscape and complexity surrounding designs to help teams make informed decisions. The Solutions Architect will play a leading role in the Bloom Architectural Capability, driving technology direction and advancement with your key stakeholders including the Head of Product, Technology Director and Head of Engineering to form the leadership group for product development reporting to the Programme Board. As a technical leader, you will collaborate with colleagues to establish development of blueprints and standards, foster business-wide relationships, contribute to business strategy, and actively share your subject matter knowledge, acting as a technology ambassador for Bloom.

The Solution Architect is the principal technical role in leading software development within Bloom. Activities include:

• Owning the technology stack and being the key decision maker in shaping and defining Bloom’s architecture.
• Ensuring that detailed architecture designs meet the current and future non-functional needs of the business with a focus on our strategic technical aims.
• Technical stewardship of the development and deployment strategy.
• Lead technical role in collaborating with and providing direction to external software development partners
• Working closely with the Head of Product, Technology Director, and Head of Engineering to form the leadership group for product development.

We are looking for applying Solution Architects to have the following:

• Current valid UK Right to Work documentation as we are current unable to sponsor visas.
• Currently working as a Solution Architect.
• Worked with customer facing B2B/B2C web applications.
• Experience of AWS, DevOps, microservices and serverless architecture.
• A good understanding of common cloud languages such as Java, Node and JavaScript.
