Position

Bloom Procurement Services is currently recruiting a Cloud Engineer to join our growing technology team. The role of the Cloud Engineer will be helping to build, deploy and operate production application software in Bloom’s cloud environments and will be primary technical expert with respect to DevOps processes and cloud administration; The Cloud Engineer will provide significant input into application security, scalability, and performance. Some accountabilities for the role include:

  • Working with our engineering and product teams to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions
  • Managing cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines
  • Ensuring application performance, uptime, and scale whilst maintaining high standards of code quality and thoughtful design.
  • Identifying, analysing, and resolving infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues.
  • Capability to select appropriate cloud services based on compute, data, or security requirements

Requirements

About you…


To be considered for the role of Cloud Engineer, we are looking for candidates to demonstrate the following skills:

  • Experience running production web applications in AWS and/or GCP in a similar role.
  • Familiarity with serverless application architecture
  • Experience of CI/CD pipelines
  • Knowledge of software development e.g. bash, Python, Java, git and CLIs
  • Application performance management tools (e.g. Ansible, NewRelic, AppDynamics)
  • Supporting internet network protocols
  • Working within a DevOps environment
