Position

Overall Purpose

The main responsibility is to deliver a fun and informative tour in an energetic manner to customers (tourists) in an open-top double-decker bus on designated routes in Chicago, IL.

Key Areas of Accountability and Responsibility

Professionalism

  • Report on time to the depot as scheduled in required clean uniform
  • Perform the scripted tour on the scheduled route while also adding your unique personality.
  • Answer customers questions regarding Chicago attractions, Big Bus products and historical points of interest.

Safety

  • Greet customers at every bus stop on the route.
  • Maintain the safety of the passengers at all times during the tour
  • Follow all state and Federal traffic and DOT laws rules/regulations
  • Report any incidents or accidents immediately per company policy

Team Spirited

  • Collaborate closely with the Tour Bus Driver to deliver the highest levels of service to our customers
  • Accomplish goals in a team environment

Revenue Protection

  • Check customer’s ticket for validity

Requirements

Knowledge

  • Knowledgeable of Hop on Hop off industry a plus
  • High levels Customer service knowledge
  •  Familiar with Chicago downtown area and high trafficked locales

  • Possess high degree of energy and enthusiasm

Education

  • Improv training highly regarded
