Position

Overall Purpose

Taxi Tours, Inc. (d/b/a Big Bus Tours New York) seeks a Head of Finance to manager a centralized US finance team of 15 people. Manages cashflows, leads budget preparation, produces timely monthly financial reporting and analysis, provides technical accounting advice to the business, identifies accounting risks to be mitigated and opportunities to be pursued. Prepares the business for UK statutory audits, implements recommendations from auditors after each audit, and builds process consistency across finance teams including strong internal controls and fraud risk management procedures. Standardizes accounting procedures across offices and oversees finance centralization projects in the U.S. Provides financial analysis to stakeholders across the business including local managers in each US city, group finance (based in London) and Board members from UK private equity owner. Travels to visit US teams and build financial strategies and improve internal controls.

 

Requirements

Experience/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any field.
  • Must be CPA, Chartered Accountant, or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate accounting and finance experience
  • 5 years of experience utilizing International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) to produce financial statements in SAP
  • 5 years of experience performing global audits with a “Big Four” accounting firm
  • 5 years of experience reporting to international private equity firms
  • 5 years of experience overseeing financial aspects of mergers and acquisitions
  • 3 years of experience advising stakeholders on implementing rules related to GDPR.
  • Employer will accept experience gained concurrently.

The role involves domestic travel up to 30% of the time and international travel up to 10% of the time.
