Position

Overall Purpose

This mission of our Bus Cleaner is to be responsible for the general servicing and detailing of buses and the facility, as well as to attend to all buses upon return to the depot and report any notable defects. These Individuals are…

Key Areas of Accountability and Responsibility:

  • Report on time to the depot as scheduled in required uniforms.
  • Responsible for conducting checks of all buses upon arrival at the depot. 
  • Responsible for ensuring bus is stocked with proper passenger supplies: brochures, headphones, ponchos. Replenishes stock as shipments arrive.
  • Perform bus detailing as directed.
  • Responsible for reporting damage, broken items, and upholstery defects. 
  • Responsible for reporting any items left on bus to management for lost & found.
  • Assist in cleaning the Facilities, including upstairs offices and common areas.
  • Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions (hot, cold and rainy weather).
  • Maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience/Qualifications/Requirements

  • Authorization to work in the US
  • Able to use hands to perform activities involving holding, grasping, turning and pulling.
  • Able to perform work on uneven surfaces; frequently climb on/off equipment.
  • Able to follow safety policies and procedures and wear the required personal protective equipment required for the job in a safe manner.
  • Is able to follow written and oral instructions.

Physical Requirements:

  • Job requires employee to sometimes stand or lie in awkward positions to clean vehicle and parts. Occasionally must climb to high places to reach areas of the vehicle. 
  • Job requires lifting, carrying or pushing/pulling up to 30 lbs. with or without assistance.

Other information

Working Hours and Conditions: 

  • Must be available for varying shifts (weekends, mornings and evenings).

Environmental Considerations

  • Employee will be exposed during a shift to constant or intermittent sounds at a level sufficient to cause hearing loss or fatigue.
  • Employee will be subject to high and low temperatures that result in significant body discomfort.
  • Employee will be exposed to dusts, fumes, vapors, or mists that could affect the occupational health of the employee.

Physical Considerations

  • Employee will often be exposed to whole body vibrations
  • Employee will be exposed to working inside various types of vehicles and equipment while cleaning them.
  • Employee will sometimes be exposed to hazardous equipment, situations, and conditions.
  • Employee must work in a variety of lighting conditions, from dim to bright.
