Posizione

The Role

The Assistant Producer of Audio Experiences has a comprehensive remit to transform the experience of Big Bus Tours customers around the world through the production of brand new audio tour experiences for all Big Bus Tours cities; deploying a category-changing creative concept to revolutionise our on-board entertainment.

Success will be achieved through inspirational creativity, efficient organisation and unwavering attention to detail.

Responsibilities include script consultation, supervision and QA; voice selection; studio recording; audio QA; tour creation; supplier management and project management.

The role covers all cities in which Big Bus Tours operates, providing an opportunity to work with a variety of global markets. This role may involve international travel.

Main Responsibilities

Pre-production

  • Liaise with city GM and team re tour and tonal requirements
  • Assist city team in populating briefing documents
  • Review voice talent options and provide feedback

Script production supervision

  • Understand creative concept and tone
  • Review scripts and provide comprehensive feedback on tone and content
  • Liaise with script supplier to ensure perfection of final scripts

Studio recording

  • Supervise studio recordings (in multiple languages)
  • Direct voice talent in studio (as required)
  • Ensure vocal delivery carries correct tone and energy

Audio QA

  • Review sound-designed audio and provide comprehensive feedback on required changes
  • Review iterations of audio

Tour Construction and Testing

  • Assist city teams in compiling audio assets to create tours
  • Advise on testing and training

Audio Tour Hardware/Software

  • Liaise with audio hardware company for tour updates
  • Identify and assess new audio tour technologies
  • Review suitability and audit condition of current assets

Tour updates

  • Constantly evaluate update requirements for all cities
  • Prioritise updates vs creation of whole new tours
  • Project manage delivery as required

Project Management

  • Manage a calendar of multiple simultaneous work streams
  • Report on status of all current and upcoming milestones
  • Identify likely blockers and proactively find solutions

Supplier Management

  • Regular contact with suppliers of scripts and audio
  • Build positive relationships to ensure best outcomes
  • Manage suppliers to ensure they deliver top quality on schedule

Requisiti

Education/ Experience:

  • Educated to degree level
  • Two years’ experience in media production
  • Proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Flexibility to work the hours required for business needs and to travel nationally and overseas if required
  • Track record of creating engaging content
  • Proficiency in English; with a high degree of literacy and an ability to accurately proof-read substantial scripts
  • Working knowledge of at least two of the following languages: French; German, Spanish; Italian (other languages also advantageous)

Competencies:

  • Excellent customer focus, understanding customer needs and the creation of new and differentiated audio experiences with which to delight them
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to share and debate creative ideas to achieve the best audio outputs
  • Highly literate, with the ability to proof-read scripts from a lexical, grammatical, factual and stylistic point of view
  • Very strong focus on detail, with an ability to review both scripts and audio with laser focus, identifying even minor changes that would contribute to a superior end product
  • Highly organised and motivated, and able to manage and prioritise multiple work streams; ensuring that each is completed with care and on time
  • Good with people, to be able to build and manage relationships with internal stakeholders, external suppliers and talent
  • Understanding of media production; to work effectively with script-writers, external producers, sound designers and talent

Right to work requirements:

Must have right to work in the UK with valid passport as travel may be required.

Working Conditions

Normal working hours are 9.00-17.30 Monday to Friday, plus additional hours as necessary to fulfil the requirements of the job (including weekends and bank holidays). Travel may be required.
