Position

Background

Los Angeles is one of the most fabulous and eclectic cities in the world, and we believe that Big Bus can add a great new experience for visitors by utilising our expertise of providing tourists with a never before available experience and the perfect introduction to this world-famous city, helping them to discover and explore the wealth of things to do and places to see.

By expanding into Los Angeles, we are making this our 22nd city that we operate from. This is an exciting opportunity for you to create something very special as you will be part of the opening team and be involved in setting up the operation and infrastructure of the business.

Overall Purpose

Manage existing and new agent accounts with the guidance of Head of Sales. Maximization of sales within partner’s portfolio and the creation of new business partners.

Key Areas of Accountability and Responsibility

Account management

  • Keep and build long lasting partnerships with agents
  • Acquisition of new business partners in order to enhance sales and profitability
  • Reporting to Head of Sales any issues experienced by our partners.

Sales Plan

  • Assisting Manager on the development of short and long term sales plans within the department
  • Ensuring sales objectives are meet according to volume of sales required
  • Assist the creation of sales programs to be delivered to partners.

Administration

  • Ensuring charging and debits are in control
  • Agent’s portfolio data base is kept up to date by passing accurate information to Head of Sales
  • Daily visits reports are up do date.

Team Management

  • Ability to lead informal and formal meeting with sales partners
  • Embody company culture and maintain high level of engagement with our partners.

Requirements

Knowledge

  • Understanding sales business environment and account management
  • Knowledge of Hop-on hop-off business and local tourism portfolio
  • Language: English is compulsory and knowledge of other languages may be helpful.

Skills

  • Proficiency in MS office, excel and access
  • Ability to read sales reports 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

Experience/Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years proven experience in sales position is desirable.
  • Experience in delivering support to business partners
  • Focus on problem solving based on customers’ and business needs.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple business accounts
  • Drivers licence class C is required.

Physical Requirements

As the job is mostly out of office making sales calls, the successful candidate is required to be comfortable in walking while visiting business partners, also the carrying of promotional material is needed.
