Position

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Management Consultant to join our expanding Finance/CFO practice – This is an ideal opportunity for a senior management consultant, ideally professionally qualified, to expand their skill-set and contribute towards engagement delivery, business development and people management

What we do in our Finance/CFO Practice?

· We advise our clients on how best to drive innovation and change across the Finance department and, and we offer a full end-to-end service to help them achieve optimal outcomes.

· Drive Digital Transformation for our CFO/Finance clients: We help CFOs/Senior Finance Executives in complex Financial Services organisations to strategise, design, build, implement and transition to a new digital way. Whether this means building data science models for predictive analytics or embedding a new culture/way of working; we help CFOs reduce long term cost and add more strategic value to their organisations

· Target Operating Models: We help our clients ideate, design and build Target Operating Models for their Finance Departments. We combine digital innovation with more traditional techniques (location strategy, organisation redesign, Finance/Risk/Treasury alignment, workforce realignment/training), and help drive change at all points during the project life cycle. We combine people, process, data, technology and governance to build optimal Target Operating Models

· Finance Technology Delivery: We help our clients to deliver change for all finance related technology, including ERP and Cloud adoption across standard and bespoke technology suites. We drive change through the entire development lifecycle.

· Special Topics: we pool our expertise in various disciplines, to help finance departments solve topical issues. Whether it is implementing new ESG disclosures, the transition away from IBOR or implementing a new IFRS, we help our clients navigate the complex and interconnected areas of change required to get ready for important “large stakes” statutory and regulatory milestones.

You will-

· Lead complex delivery of our Finance transformation engagements

· Lead multi-disciplinary teams Finance teams and be responsible for their career development and performance management

· Manage senior (C-suite) client stakeholders

· Manage commercial account development

· Lead practice development activities including the development of go to market propositions, creating thought leadership, running client events, and delivering training and development

· Drive commercial development by responding to RFPs and participating in client pitches and competitive bids

· Leverage and expand your network to generate new business development opportunities

· Contribute to the learning, development, and training of the Finance/CFO practice

· Have a passion for digital disruption, design, and innovation

Requirements



Successful candidates will have an excellent track record of exceeding client expectations. In order to do this, it is likely that you will possess some or all the following skills and attributes:


· Experience in delivering change projects in a Finance function, either as a consultant or as part of an in-house change delivery team. Examples include Finance technology projects (e.g. ERP implementations), off shoring/near-shoring, target operating model transformation (TOM), finance process-improvement, finance data quality remediation, finance cloud implementation.

· Understanding of the purpose of a Finance function in a financial services organisation, how they interact with the rest of the organisation and the nature of the finance operating model

· Experience in performing data analysis (manipulating large data sets, quickly drawing out trends/stories)

· Excellent communication skills, with ability to tailor communications to different levels of seniority amongst a wide range of technical and functional stakeholders.

· Demonstrable client-facing experience

· Demonstrable consulting proposition building and commercial development experience

· A demonstrable skillset programme and project management, together with a strong understanding of project lifecycle

· A positive and engaging leadership style, gravitas and the ability to inspire and motivate junior consultants

In addition to the above, the below may be beneficial to the role

· A professional accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)

· Experience working in a finance function in a financial services organisation in a change role

· Experience/exposure low/no code automation, RPA (Robotic Process Automation), Cloud adoption/migration, ERPs, data wranglers, data visualisation tools.

Why does Be Shaping the Future process personal data?

Processing data from job applicants allows us to manage the recruitment process, assess and confirm a candidate's suitability for employment and decide to whom to offer a job. The Company needs to process data to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract with you. It also needs to process your data to enter into a contract with you.

 

Be Shaping the Future has a legitimate interest in processing personal data during the recruitment process and for keeping records of the process. In some cases, the Company needs to process data to ensure that we are complying with legal obligations. For example, it is mandatory to check a successful applicant's eligibility to work in the UK before employment starts. We may also need to process data from job applicants to respond to and defend against legal claims.

We process such information to carry out obligations and exercise specific rights in relation to employment.

 

Who has access to your data?

Your data may be shared internally for the purposes of the recruitment process. This includes members of the HR and recruitment team, interviewers involved in the recruitment process, managers in the business area with a vacancy and IT staff if access to the data is necessary for the performance of their roles.

 

We will not share your data with third parties unless your application for employment is successful and we make you an offer of employment. The Company will then share your data with former employers to obtain references, and where required, employment background check providers to obtain background checks and the Disclosure and Barring Service to obtain criminal records checks.

 

Automated Decision-Making

You will not be subject to decisions that will have a significant impact on you based solely on automated decision-making.

 

How does Be Shaping the Future protect data?

We take the security of your data seriously. We have internal policies and controls in place to ensure that your data is not lost, accidentally destroyed, misused, altered, disclosed or accessed except by our employees in the proper performance of their duties. Those employees will only process your personal data on our instructions and they are subject to a duty of confidentiality.

 

How long does Be Shaping the Future keep data?

If your application for employment is unsuccessful, the Company will hold your data on file for six (6) months after the end of the relevant recruitment process.

 

If you agree to allow us to keep your personal data on file, we will hold your data on file for a further six (6) months for consideration for future employment opportunities. At the end of that period, or if you withdraw your consent before the end of the period, your data is deleted or destroyed.

 

If your application for employment is successful, personal data gathered during the recruitment process will be transferred to your Personnel file (electronic and paper based) and retained during your employment. The periods for which your data will be held will be provided to you in a new privacy notice.

 

Your rights

Under certain circumstances, by law, you have a number of rights. You can:

·        Request access to and obtain a copy of your data (commonly known as a ‘Data Subject Access Request’);

·        Require the Company to change incorrect or incomplete data;

·        Require the Company to delete or stop processing your data, for example where the data is no longer necessary for the purposes of processing

·        Object to the processing of your data where the Company is relying on its legitimate interests as the legal ground for processing and there is something about your particular situation which makes you want to object to processing on this ground.
