Company Description

BCHA are a diverse and growing specialist housing, learning and support provider based in the South West. We work with a range of local and national partners to “End Homelessness” for those we work with

Position

We are looking for looking for a motivated, positive and organised person to join our Support Team at one of our large homelessness services in the centre of Exeter. The support team works over seven days, and there is a shift rota in operation which enables staff to work more flexibly than in a 9 to 5 service. You will be a valued member of a dedicated and strong team and work in a psychologically informed way to build open, trusting and strengths based relationships with those we house and support. We have a number of exciting projects underway to build on our work around co-production that seeks to empower those living with and also working for us. Encouraging people from different walks of life to apply for our roles means that we are creative and inclusive.

Our services offer high quality support to individuals who may have experienced rough sleeping, trauma and addiction and your main duties would be:

  • Meeting with individuals to carry out strengths based needs assessments and develop support plans
  • Dealing with incidents and emergencies
  • Raising safeguarding issues
  • Meeting with other services and professionals to develop a joined up holistic service
  • Being an integral part of a positive and collaborative team

If you wish to discuss this role further, please contact Mick Campbell on 07966 800291 or [email protected]

We can offer you:

  • a rewarding, challenging and varied role;
  • the opportunity to combine your people and organisational skills;
  • the opportunity to learn about and use trauma informed approaches;
  • a role that gives you real job satisfaction in helping others;
  • full training and support to develop your skills;
  • the opportunity to work in a supportive and friendly environment

Come and join us. Please, put in your application and if you fit the job requirements, we will be able to offer you a job interview as soon as one can be arranged (within a few days).
