Company Description

BCHA are a South-West based charitable housing association, founded over 50 years ago with a continuing mission to meet housing need and end homelessness. We have properties across the South-West providing affordable homes and temporary accommodation to a wide range of customers.

Position

This role is crucial in guaranteeing the safety of our customers in our properties and assuring the legal compliance of all our service areas; gas & electrical safety and management; fire safety and risk management; legionella, asbestos and lifts.

You will need to be a confident and competent ‘technical expert’ with demonstrable evidence of using your knowledge and experience in a ‘technical property services’ environment.

Requirements

  • Have professional expertise in Compliance legislation.
  • Have up to date knowledge of current Building Safety legislation.
  • Ability to provide professional guidance to our in-house property maintenance team.
  • Proven ability to manage contractors providing risk assessments and remedial work.
  • Ability to identify efficiency savings across all areas of building safety and compliance.
