The Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust (also known as BBOWT) was formed in 1959 and has a vision of an environment rich in wildlife for everyone, valued by all. We aim to lead the way to nature’s recovery through innovative land management, and connect people with nature to improve their wellbeing. We work in partnership and through collaborative projects with local communities, businesses, land owners and local authorities. In the three counties BBOWT owns or manages over 80 nature reserves covering 2,500 hectares. We have more than 50,000 members, employ over 100 professional staff, and have active support from more than 1,350 volunteers. Each year around 12,000 schoolchildren visit our education centres. BBOWT has an annual turnover of over £6 million and receives income from membership subscriptions, grants and donations. BBOWT is one of 46 Wildlife Trusts working across the UK, each is a corporate member of the Royal Society of Wildlife Trusts.

Position

We have an opportunity for you to join us as People Team Database Administrator, a varied and busy part-time role, in our friendly People team.

We need your ability to quickly get to grips with the databases utilised in this role, as well as your impressive ability to effectively prioritise and meet deadlines.

In this job you will (amongst other things) be responsible for the full recruitment module of Cezanne as well as general database administration related to the employee life cycle, so you’ll need to able to understand how to make changes as the database administrator and what effect this will have for standard users of the database.

Requirements

We’ll quickly come to trust you to be our main administrator for People Team databases, ensuring a smooth-running recruitment process and providing reports on which organisational decisions will be based, so your work here will be important. Therefore, we will need you to have administration experience, be proficient with Microsoft Office and Excel and be confident and effective using databases. If you have not worked on Cezanne specifically, that’s not a problem, but as Cezanne is a complex database indepth experience as a database administrator for various databases previously will be a definite advantage.
