Position

Ayesa is seeking a Lead Structural Engineer to spearhead our Water Structures capability, focusing on the delivery of projects in the UK and Saudi Arabia. This pivotal role requires an experienced structural engineering expert with water and wastewater experience to elevate our service offering to UK contractors and consultants. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering projects, providing technical direction, and mentoring junior engineers.


This role presents an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Lead Structural Engineer to drive impactful water and wastewater projects in Saudi Arabia and the UK. Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead project teams to deliver high-quality services to clients.
  • Integrate within multidisciplinary design teams to deliver robust solutions.
  • Interface with various engineering disciplines, including civil, geotechnical, process, and M&E.
  • Provide technical direction and mentorship to Structural Design Engineers and graduate engineers.
  • Manage projects within time, cost, and quality constraints, adhering to standards.
  • Represent and promote Ayesa professionally, fostering effective client relationships.
  • Assist in tender submissions and contribute to estimating and pricing.
  • Ensure compliance with Codes of Practice, Design Standards, and Health & Safety Regulations.
  • Manage projects in accordance with Ayesa's Integrated Management System (IMS), ensuring staff awareness and compliance.

Requirements

Experience Criteria:

  • Degree or Master’s in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in structural design engineering.
  • Chartered Member of the Institution of Structural Engineers or equivalent professional body.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Expert understanding of Structural Design and Analysis principles.
  • Extensive experience in contractor design and temporary works.
  • Proven track record in water and wastewater structures or related civil engineering aspects.
  • Demonstrated ability in delivering detailed design engineering solutions for structural projects in the UK/Ireland.
  • In-depth knowledge of current codes and standards, including Eurocodes.
  • Strong understanding of building and structural components.
  • Innovative problem-solving skills and strong work ethic.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship-building skills.
