Position

Ayesa’s Marine & Coastal division is made up of a diverse and collaborative team, passionate about addressing the climate change emergency, and leads and supports a wide variety of coastal work across the globe. We work closely with international clients to plan and design coastal infrastructure from flood defences, coastal protection, harbours, marinas, waterside development, and port facilities.

The ideal candidate is someone who has a passion for delivering effective solutions to our clients and a desire to work with the Coastal Engineering Leadership team to grow and develop the business.


The successful applicant will provide project leadership and technical delivery of Coastal and Maritime engineering services within Ayesa.


The role will be based in either our Bahrain or Dubai office and will include the following areas of work:

• Coastal flood protection works

• Coastal structures, including breakwaters, revetments, quay walls groynes etc

• Beaches, including beach nourishment and shoreline management planning

• Marinas, berthing facilities, navigation channels and canals

• Coastal modelling

Requirements

  • Civil, Coastal, or Environmental Engineering bachelor's degree and be able to demonstrate the experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to conduct effective client and agency presentations, written technical report preparation, and project experience through professional publications and presentations.
  • Chartered Engineer with extensive experience in the fields of coastal and maritime engineering.
  • Strong technical experience in assessment of design parameters, strategic coastal planning, coastal environment, climate change, beach management, the design of coastal & port structures with knowledge of relevant codes, standards and guidance documents, and an appreciation of current developments.
  • Understanding and familiarity of numerical modelling software.
  • Track record of delivery of successful projects and the ability to support winning tenders.
  • Willingness to travel on short assignments
