Ymddiriedolaeth Ddiwylliannol Awen

Mae Ymddiriedolaeth Ddiwylliannol Awen yn elusen gofrestredig wedi'i lleoli ym Mhen-y-bont ar Ogwr, De Cymru. Ein diben yw gwneud bywydau pobl yn well, ac rydym yn cyflawni hyn trwy ddarparu digwyddiadau, gweithgareddau a rhaglenni diwylliannol ysbrydoledig. Mae Awen Trading Cyfyngedig yn is-gwmni masnachu Ymddiriedolaeth Ddiwylliannol Awen, elusen gofrestredig ym Mhen-y-bont ar Ogwr, De Cymru. Nod Awen Trading Cyfyngedig yw datblygu grŵp o fusnesau sy'n gymdeithasol gyfrifol sy'n cystadlu'n fasnachol, rhagori ar ddisgwyliadau cwsmeriaid a chreu elw iach y gellir ei roi yn ei dro yn ôl i'r elusen rhiant fel rhodd cymorth. Awen Cultural Trust

Awen Cultural Trust is a registered charity based in Bridgend, South Wales. Our purpose

is to make people’s lives better, which we achieve by delivering inspirational cultural events, activities and programmes. Awen engages with over one million visitors a year through a diverse range of facilities and services which include theatres, libraries, community centres, historic house and country park, and two work-based projects for adults with learning and physical disabilities. Awen Trading Limited

Awen Trading Limited is the wholly owned trading subsidiary of Awen Cultural Trust, a registered charity based in Bridgend, South Wales. Awen Trading Limited’s aim is to develop a group of socially responsible businesses that compete commercially, exceed customer expectations and generate healthy profits which, in turn, are gifted aided back to the parent charity. Currently, these businesses include the Caffi Bar at the Grand Pavilion in Porthcawl and Bryngarw House, an exclusive wedding venue based in the grounds of Bryngarw Country Park.

What will you be doing?

To assist with technical operations in relation to Awen’s venues and other performances including lighting, sound, AV, and pyrotechnics. You will also assist with the setup and movement of equipment for events.

• Technical support for events across Awen Venues in line with required standards in line with Health and Safety requirements.
• Assist customers in relation to design of staging, lighting, AV and sound for each event.
• Support customers to establish their requirements whilst assisting with get ins, fit ups, get outs and the running of events.
• Contribute to the day to day operation of the building when required including basic maintenance tasks as directed and supervised by the Technical Manager.
• Participate in any training and development activities to maintain own development or to enhance competence within job role.
• Ensuring that activities are completed in accordance with Awen’s commitment to equalities and diversity and in line with best practice and legislation.

Qualifications, Training, Knowledge and Experience

• Experience of working in theatres/live event environments having used at least one aspect of live technology including, lighting, sound, AV and stage management
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to follow instructions
• Good time management
• Able to organise work to meet deadlines
• A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle for work
• Good standard of education, equivalent to NVQ/OCF 2, or the ability to demonstrate competence through experience
