ASL Airlines Ireland, a member of ASL Aviation Holdings, are recruiting for a Financial Accountant on a full time and permanent basis to join our Head Office in Swords, Co. Dublin.

Working within the Business Controlling function to ensure that the financial reports accurately reflect the underlying transactions and provide a reliable basis for internal management information and decision making, and for submission to external stakeholders (tax authorities, providers of finance, external auditors etc.) where appropriate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of month end procedures for several associated companies.
• Liaise with lessors to ensure accurate reporting of information required for aircraft reserves calculations and payments, and ensure recoverability of all amounts due from lessors for maintenance related events.
• Preparation of month end accruals / prepayments
• Preparation of monthly balance sheet schedules
• Manage quarterly intercompany reconciliations
• Assist in preparing budgets and financial plans for the company
• Monitor performance to Budget with operational budget holders.
• Conduct regular reviews and evaluations to look for cost reduction and revenue maximisation opportunities.
• Liaison with external auditors

Key Stakeholders:

Internal: Finance dept., Commercial & Operational depts., Senior Management

External: Suppliers and service providers, government agencies (including tax authorities), external auditors, affiliated companies in the ASL group.

• Preferably Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA)
• At least 1 year post qualification experience
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities within strict deadlines
• Shall maintain competence on the basis of continued education and training in their area of responsibility. The company will facilitate this process
• SAP experience desirable but not essential.
• Aviation industry experience desirable but not essential.
• Must be eligible to live and work in the EU
