Position

Salary: circa £27,675 - £30,765 p.a. + Benefits

Role duration: 24 months FTC, Full time

You will play a key role in the Academy’s close-knit policy team, spending most of your time supporting its influential major policy projects, including on the sustainability of health research in the UK. This will require working closely with a range of Academy Fellows, other experts and stakeholders to identify, analyse and drive progress on key science policy topics. You will also work on other policy projects that support the delivery of our strategic challenge to ‘harness our expertise and convening power to tackle the biggest scientific and health challenges and opportunities facing our society’. This will include activities to inform and influence the funding and organisation of the UK’s science base.

Other information

Location

Staff are working remotely due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Access to desk space in the office is currently available. We remain responsive to government restrictions.

We have a staff group looking at hybrid working models for the future. There is no expectation that staff will return to the office 5 days a week. Location of work will be set based on the needs of the individual and their role, however when in the office the location is 41 Portland Place, London W1B 1QH.

Work from home equipment contributions are available following workspace assessments.
