Position

Salary: £37,804- £42,368 per annum + benefits

Role duration: 12 month fixed term contract, Full time

We are looking for a FORUM Policy Manager, an experienced policy professional to shape, deliver and maximise the impact of a busy programme of FORUM events, including a high profile annual lecture. These events take a range of formats, and will include virtual and hybrid events. We will look to you to build close links and partnerships with FORUM members and other key stakeholders across the life sciences sector and facilitate their input to the Academy’s wider work programme.

In addition to events experience, you will possess sound understanding of medical research in the UK, familiarity with the policymaking process, and an appreciation of the interface between academia, industry and the NHS. You will communicate with confidence and clarity, with an excellent writing style. It is vital that you can operate flexibly in a small organisation, and show the commitment and initiative to make a real difference to the translation of research.

We are looking to appoint as soon as possible and will consider secondments.

Other information

Location

Staff are working remotely due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Access to desk space in the office is currently available. We remain responsive to government restrictions.

We have a staff group looking at hybrid working models for the future. There is no expectation that staff will return to the office 5 days a week. Location of work will be set based on the needs of the individual and their role, however when in the office the location is 41 Portland Place, London W1B 1QH.

Work from home equipment contributions are available following workspace assessments.
